LUCY TENGEYE


Lucy holds a Bachelor of Education (Arts) degree (English/Literature) from Kenyatta University and a higher Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Kenya Institute of Management. She joins WERK from Daraja Initiatives Forum where she was the project officer in charge of the Supporting Complimentary Schools for Equitable Education (SUCSEED) project in informal settlements in Nairobi for 3 years. She was previously the Scholarship Coordinator and Programs Director at African Canadian Continuing Education Society (ACCES)-Kenya for 8 years since 2008. She has over 3 years working as a Trainer of Trainers (TOT) with the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) and Windle Trust Kenya in Kakuma Refugee Camp.

She has over 14 years’ cross-cultural experience working with different stakeholders including local governments, communities, religious organizations, and other local and international Non-Governmental Organizations in education management, development, humanitarian assistance and human resource management.

Lucy is currently working on her thesis for Masters of Business Administration (Strategic Management) from Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology and Masters of Science (Disaster Management and Sustainable Development) from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology respectively.
