PROGRAM OFFICER, COMMUNITY LIAISON OPPORTUNITY SCHOOLS PROGRAMME
Joseph Torris holds a bachelor of education in (Early Childhood Education); BEd ECE Degree from Africa Nazarene University. He also has a certificate and a diploma respectively in Early Childhood Development and Education.
Torris has classroom experience and expertise in community sensitization. He has served as a teacher, facilitator and a constituency manager respectively. Currently, Torris is serving at Women Educational researchers of Kenya as a program officer liaison in the Opportunity Schools Program. The program works to improve retention and learning outcomes in ECD through grade 8 by 2016.
To achieve the above stated goals, WERK has been working with in partnership with likeminded organizations with a view to having a vibrant and community of practice. The core team is made up of the following organizations:
